As we embark on a new year, I am honored to share with you our mission, goals, and plans for 2024, all aimed at elevating our commitment to exceptional patient care and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and fairness within our medical community.

  • Salsa Dance for Nursing Week.

  • Celebrating our Food and nutrition services with Appreciation certificates.

  • Celebrating our Therapy department on Physical Therapy week with appreciation certificates.

  • Celebrated Respiratory week by giving Jackets to all the respiratory therapists recognizing their contribution.

  • Approval of the wall of Honor specifically dedicated to all Physicians and Caregivers. (to be installed soon)

Medical Staff Holiday Extravaganza 2023: “A Night to remember”. A celebration of unity, dedication, and the extraordinary people who make our hospital a beacon of hope and healing. For the first time, we celebrated the past, present and future caregivers demonstrating inclusivity, unity, and compassion towards each other.

Plans for 2024: Continuing the Journey

Building on the momentum of the year 2023, our plans for 2024 involve the continuation and amplification of our efforts. Our Non for profit 501c6 corporation will play a crucial role in achieving this.

As we navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, I am confident that our collective dedication, expertise, and shared vision will propel us towards new heights of excellence. Together, we will not only meet but exceed the expectations set forth in our mission, goals, and plans for 2024.

Agenda for 2024 and planned programs

Personalized and custom-made Jackets for all Active Medical Staff.

  • Initiate Charitable causes and donate $1 a day to 10 charities that will demonstrate our commitment to improve lives in the community that we serve.

  • Dr Govind Nair educational scholarship to be started in 2024.

  • Establish a Northside Hospital Medical Staff fund Inc. Educational scholarship for a high school (e.g Boca Ciega high school) student interested in the Medical Field.

  • 2024 Dr Tom Mathias Nurse of the year

  • 2024 Dr Luis Fernando Critical care nurse of the year award

  • 2024 Nursing week celebration in May.

  • 2024 Valerie Powell Stafford Go Red for women donation.

  • 2024 Dr Robert Sanchez and our Cardiovascular department American heart association donation.

  • Black Tie Event, a fund-raising event for a worthy cause

  • Annual Medical Staff party on November 16th, 2024 to be called “A Thanksgiving festival of Lights celebration”

  • Celebration 2024: that will honor and celebrate physicians with more than 30 years of service and continue the tradition to bestow Honorary membership to our retired physicians that will serve as our best community good will ambassadors.
